Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
No. You don't need a medical referral or a formal diagnosis to access support at Inner Ease Therapy. You just need a sense that something isn't right. We'll figure out the rest together.
That's more common than you might think. You don't have to have it all figured out before you reach out. The free 15-minute introductory call is exactly the right place to start, it's just a conversation, there's no commitment, and it's okay to say "I'm not sure." We can work out whether this feels right together.
If you've been struggling with anxiety, burnout, grief, trauma, low mood, or simply feeling stuck and it hasn't shifted on its own, that's usually enough reason to reach out. The free 15-minute introductory call is a no-pressure way to explore whether this feels like the right fit.
It's an informal conversation by phone or video, where you can tell me a little about what's been going on. There's no commitment, no clinical assessment, and no pressure to have the right words ready. If it feels like a good fit, we can book your first session together on the call — or you can book directly on the site whenever suits. If not, I'll do my best to point you in the right direction.

Sessions & Services
Most people start with the 50-minute Therapy Session. If you're drawn to combining talking with body-based or hypnotherapy work in a single appointment, the 80-minute Therapy Session gives us the space to do that. The Deep Regulation Session (110 minutes, in person only) is a more specialist, OT-led pathway using the Just Right State Programme, for those whose nervous system needs something beyond talking — we'll discuss this together during the introductory chat.
You can book any session directly on the Bookings page.
Anxiety and panic, burnout and stress, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, low mood and depression, relationship and attachment difficulties, and emotional dysregulation. If you're not sure whether what you're experiencing fits, reach out anyway.
Clinical hypnotherapy is woven into sessions as one of several tools rather than offered as a standalone appointment, so it can be used at the right moment, within the bigger picture of the work.
Practical Questions
In-person sessions take place at Unit 55, Enniskillen Business Centre, 21 Lackaghboy Road, Tempo Road, Enniskillen, BT74 4RL. Full directions and parking information are on the Contact page.
Online sessions are available across the UK. Once you book, you'll receive a secure, private Google Meet link by email. You don't need to download any specialist software, just click the link, find a quiet and private space, and we begin. Full details are on the Online Therapy page.
All sessions are paid before they take place. Your first session is usually paid securely by card when you book. For ongoing sessions, card and BACS payments are made in advance. If you prefer to use cash, this is accepted for in-person sessions and collected at the start of your appointment.
I operate a 48-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment or miss a scheduled session, the full session fee will apply. I ask for this in order to protect appointment availability for all clients. Genuine emergencies are handled with common sense and no judgement.
The therapeutic work happens within our sessions. For anything non-urgent outside of that, like rescheduling or asking a quick question, you can email me and I aim to reply within 48 hours on working days.
If things feel difficult between sessions and you need immediate support, please reach out to Lifeline (0808 808 8000) or Samaritans (116 123). I want you to have support that will reach someone immediately, because I can't offer crisis support between appointments.
To protect client privacy, there is no communal waiting area at the clinic.
