About Me

"Healing isn't about fixing what is broken; it is about safely reconnecting with who you truly are."

I chose the name Inner Ease because it reflects what I hope this work offers, not the absence of difficulty, but a real sense of calm and safety even within it.

I’m Warren. I’m a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Counsellor, and Clinical Hypnotherapist, and I came to this work the long way round.  Before I was a therapist, I was someone trying to figure out how to get through my own mental health difficulties. That experience, the confusion, the shame of asking for help, and eventually the slow, real process of recovery, shaped everything about how I work today.

I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2016 and spent the following decade working in the community and in mental health, including specialist trauma services where I worked with people navigating PTSD and Complex PTSD every day.  What that work taught me, above everything else, is this: you can’t think your way out of trauma. The body holds it. The nervous system carries it. And until we work with all of that, not just the conscious mind, lasting recovery stays out of reach.  That insight is the foundation of everything I do at Inner Ease.

My Three Pillars:

Occupational Therapy: to understand how your day-to-day life, environment, and nervous system are affecting you, and build practical ways to feel more steady.

Counselling: to give you space to talk, explore what’s underneath, and slowly find a kinder way of relating to yourself and your story.

Clinical Hypnotherapy: to work with the parts of your mind that talking alone can’t always reach, and gently create space for things to shift at a deeper level.

Whatever’s brought you here, you don’t have to figure it out alone, and you don’t have to have it all together to reach out. That’s exactly what I’m here for.
